Our Newsletter is packed this month here is a bit of the Executive Directors letter (Adam.)
“In March we celebrated Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and Nevins had the opportunity to celebrate and showcase our commitment to providing quality services and educating others on the opportunities that Nevins has to offer. Nevins attended the Metro School, Harding High School and East Mecklenburg High School Transitional Fairs. These three events offered options for families and the support they need for post-secondary success for students needing ongoing services. We look forward to connecting with the families again in the future!
Our 3rd Annual Chili-Cook off was a success! I would like to extend a very big thank you to New Dominion Bank for being the official sponsor for the event and NoDa Brewery for hosting such a great venue. Also, I would like to thank the following individuals as well as businesses for your continued support; Greg Smith and Mel Fundora, Blackfinn Ameripub, Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, The Common Market, Derita Statesville Road Community Organization, Academy Sports, Cabot Creamery, Flip Side Restaurant, Bob and LeAnn Fenton, Jax Jackson, Phil Gussman, and of course our chili cooks and volunteers. Over $1800 was raised! Our Nevins folks had such a great time last year, we have decided that all the proceeds will go to fund our 2nd. Annual beach trip to Myrtle Beach for our staff and individuals that Nevins supports on May 3-5. . . . “
